The Geo Site Supply Pocket Penetrometer is a simple, accurate handheld instrument for rapid estimation of soil bearing capacity and unconfined compressive strength directly on site. Press the calibrated cylindrical piston into the soil sample until the shoulder mark is reached and read the penetration resistance directly from the graduated scale in kg/cm² or tons/ft². Features include graduated scale in kg/cm² and tons/ft², adaptor foot for softer soils, lightweight pocket-sized construction, corrosion resistance, and simple operation requiring no training. Used for estimating soil consistency during trial pit logging, rapid field assessment of bearing capacity, preliminary foundation investigation, and confirming soil descriptions to BS 5930.
